Honored in Hong Kong: SlowMist Wins Two Awards at the “Cyber security Professional Awards 2025”

On January 30, the Cyber security Professional Awards 2025 Presentation ceremony, jointly organized by the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) of the Hong Kong Police Force, the Digital Policy Office (DPO), and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), was held at the Police Officers’ Club of the Hong Kong Police Force. At the event, SlowMist was awarded the “the Cyber Security Excellence Contribution Award of the CSPA 2025” . At the same time, Zhang Lianfeng, Partner and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of SlowMist, was awarded the Merit Award in the Cyber Security Audit & Consulting Sector of the Cyber Security Professional Awards 2025 (CSPA 2025).

Cyber Security Professional Awards 2025: Highly Competitive, Honoring the Best of the Best

The Cyber Security Professional Awards 2025 is one of the most representative annual recognition programmes in Hong Kong’s cybersecurity sector. The programme focuses on cybersecurity development, technical practices, and industry collaboration, and spans eight major sectors: Banking & Finance; Telecommunication Services; Cyber Security Education & Training; Government Departments & Public Bodies; Internet and Cloud Services; Cyber Security Startups & SMEs; Cyber Security Audit & Consulting; and Transportation & Public Utilities. It places particular emphasis on recognizing outstanding individuals and organizations that have demonstrated strong professional expertise and tangible contributions within their respective fields.

This year’s programme received an overwhelming response, with the number of nominations reaching a record high. A total of 219 nominations from 140 organizations were received, making the competition particularly intense. All nominations were subject to a rigorous assessment process, with only one Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award presented in each sector. Following the evaluation, the organizer ultimately presented 64 individual awards to winners from various professional sectors, in recognition of their professional performance and sustained contributions to the cybersecurity field.

In addition to the individual awards, the programme also features four institutional award categories, with a total of 19 organizational awards presented. These include the Cyber Security Core Partner Award, Cyber Defence Strategy Collaboration Award, Cyber Security Excellence Contribution Award, and Cyber Security International Contribution Award, recognizing organizations for their long-term commitment and tangible achievements in supporting law enforcement actions, promoting public–private collaboration, facilitating cross-institutional and cross-regional cooperation, and enhancing overall cyber defense resilience.

Under such a high-standard and multi-dimensional evaluation framework, each award represents the Judging Panel’s full recognition of the awardee’s professional capabilities and the industry contributions of their respective organizations.
